They put their abilities into play.

Around the shared tables, there is space to talk, to fall in love, to argue but also to build and to make.
A space for conviviality, connection, and growth.

“I make, therefore I am”
is the starting point to find fulfillment, both as individuals and as a group.
It’s a path of giving back and active participation in society.

The team

The working group brings together people with different backgrounds and skills, creating a space where experiences are shared and common goals are shaped. It combines experienced social educators with professionals from the fields of visual communication, design, and the arts.

By sharing a common space, this team works side by side every day to support and inspire the participants during the workshops, nurturing both creative and production-based innovation. Everyone is involved and aware of each and every step in the process.

Igor Bianchi

Igor graduated in Telecommunications back in 1993 and worked as an IT technician for ten years. In the early 2000s, he turned to social work and began working as a support worker for people with psychiatric disorders in 2004. After a brief experience managing a cultural association, in 2010 he co-founded the social cooperative Laboratorio Zanzara, where he now works as an educator while also serving as legal representative.

Carlotta Sacco

Carlotta earned her degree in Education Sciences in 2018. Her academic path was strongly influenced by Laboratorio Zanzara, a place she has known and frequented since childhood. She has gained a variety of experiences in the social field, including working as a swimming instructor alongside young people with autism, and as an educator in summer camps for children with intellectual disabilities organized by the Municipality of Turin.

Gianluca Cannizzo

Gianluca works in the fields of creativity, graphic design, and illustration. He is Art Director and founding member of Laboratorio Zanzara. His journey began in 1998, when he was captivated by the immediacy and strength of the group’s visual language. Since then, he has contributed to creating a unique "alphabet"—a visual language accessible to all through graphics and illustration. Twenty years ago, he discovered his passion for posters, a medium he still considers the perfect tool for expressing his personality through visual synthesis and communication.

Nadia Ceruti

Nadia graduated in 2012 from the Politecnico di Torino with a degree in Graphic and Virtual Design. She was drawn to Laboratorio Zanzara by its unique approach—a creative hub where experimentation is constant and where different perspectives, both graphic and human, come together and thrive.

Giorgia Elia

Giorgia holds a diploma in Education and a degree in Professional Education from the University of Turin. For about ten years, she worked in the social field, focusing on recreational, sports and integration activities for minors in need. She later specialized and worked in various local services dedicated to integration, community involvement and autonomy, with a focus on education, relationships and project design. Since 2016, she has coordinated the educational and social project and works as an educator at Laboratorio Zanzara.

Marzia Scarteddu

Marzia works as a director and writer, with a focus on developing new forms of expression in theater, social contexts, and business environments. From 1993 to 1997, she performed with the theater company Marcido Marcidorjs and Famosa Mimosa. She co-created Beyond Stuttering: Theater and Psychology. In 2004, she co-founded Teatro Zanzara within Laboratorio Zanzara, where she continues to explore new methods and research. Today, she also brings these tools into companies with Teatro d’Impresa Zanzara, a training initiative. For over 23 years, she has worked with PeopleandPeople, a permanent research lab on human self-expression.
