“When you step into Laboratorio Zanzara, you enter a workshop of the soul — and we can’t wait to welcome you.
Here, people work with glue, cardboard, and paint. Birds fly across the walls, words hang like ornaments, and posters offer poetic, thought-provoking phrases. On shelves and stools, you’ll find a delightful mix of papier-mâché cacti, mugs, robots, bowls, bags, t-shirts, and pins.
But this is only what can be seen — and sold.
Because the most important work is hidden from view.
It happens quietly, deep within the people who create those objects.
It’s the work of dignity, of self-awareness, of inclusion.”

The theatre and communication workshop
The theatre and communication workshop is a space for exploration and learning, open to everyone.
Alongside participants from the cooperative, the programme also welcomes members of the public, students, professional actors, and corporate teams. Everyone gets on stage and interacts with our young people.
Our approach — and the way we explore new forms of expression — is rooted in personal experience and in what we observe in the world around us.
Over the years, we’ve carried out innovative and inclusive work. This has given us the chance to explore emotions and to understand how they can sometimes hold people back from communicating.
Theatre training helps us tap into the body’s potential, develop improvisation skills, build meaningful relationships, and use voice and words to express emotion.
Screen-printing
We use screen printing to print on just about everything.
Designs are transferred onto all kinds of surfaces and materials.
Our group is involved in every step of the process — from preparing the screens and building the frames, to printing the t-shirts and packaging the final products.
A skilled technician guides the team and fine-tunes the quality of the finished work.
Papier-mâché
In this place, the design transforms into a three-dimensional form; the illustration becomes an object, a sculpture, or a decorative element. Using the technique of Japanese papier-mâché, we experiment with handcrafted production.
The working method involves multiple stages, where different skills can find space to be enhanced and developed. Everyone plays an essential role in reaching the finished product.
Collaborative work fosters responsibility, motivation, satisfaction, and growth.
Sign and graphic workshop
Everything starts here.
After studying the project, it is shared with the group through an image search and creative ideas printed out.
Everyone starts drawing. The signs, illustrations, and letters are gathered to become graphic designs of various kinds: a “visual alphabet” that becomes the language of Laboratorio Zanzara.
